Tytandderwen Camping & Caravan Park
“This was the most inclusive, beautiful place I have ever been. The activities, the people, the inclusivity are beyond anything I’ve ever known. Zero judgments, nothing is ever too much for the organisers, and my boys are so different in their needs, but both felt included and supported. The activities are no pressure and fully inclusive and amazing at getting the kids to socialise safely and give the parents a chance to put the kettle on! – which is heaven!”
“We really enjoyed feeling we could be ourselves with no judgment. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. It was beautiful that as soon as we arrived, we were offered lots of help and a welcome drink”
“How nervous I was before we arrived, all that worrying for nothing! – being able to relax in a safe and friendly space with no judgment, watching my daughters form friendships and seeing my step-son play with others. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for creating such a beautiful space and community, it’s been so much more than I expected”

Fund For Wales

Autistic Haven’s CIC is celebrating a significant milestone after being awarded a grant from the Fund for Wales, with support from the People’s Postcode Lottery and Community Foundation Wales. This generous funding will support this social enterprise’s core operational costs for the next 12 months, enabling the organisation to continue its essential work in providing safe spaces for families with Autistic members in the Bala area.
The Fund for Wales is a national community endowment fund managed and promoted by Community Foundation Wales. It aims to empower organisations to continue their important work supporting communities across Wales. The partnership with the People’s Postcode Lottery has been pivotal in ensuring that grants like these can help create lasting, positive changes in local communities.

Post-Xmas Pea Fair

Get ready for the ultimate winter celebration – a fun-filled event to fill the void after Christmas for families with Autistic members.

Join us for the Post Xmas Winter Pea Fair at Holt Lodge Hotel in Wrexham on January 6th. This in-person event is the perfect way to celebrate the winter season with family and meet new friends. Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon of exploring a variety of stalls hosted by other families with Autistic members for free.

What is a Pea Fair? Like a village fete, each family has a stall, and everyone is a customer.

What makes it different? No money exchanges hands! Instead, you are given chickpeas to use as currency.

What should I bring for my stall? Your family can choose to do or sell anything on your stall (table): playing a game like Guess Who, Kerpluk, cards, homemade cakes/cookies, face painting, hair braiding, nail painting, guessing the number of sweets in a jar, tombola, homemade crafts, magic tricks, a challenge, making slime, the list is endless….anything goes!

Family members take turns’ maning’ the stall while the rest visit the stalls of other families to spend their chickpeas. It’s super fun and easy – a great way to make new friends without the pressure of money being involved!

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience! Check out what our customers said about the last camp and secure your spot today!

“The camp showed us that, by giving both our children an extended period of time, in a safe and non-judgemental space, with caring adults and amazing children, they can achieve far more socially than we had imagined. This means that we have a more realistic understanding of how to help them become their best selves, hopefully through giving them more experiences such as these.”

“Knowing that my children were safe and having fun with like-minded families was fabulous. Everyone was so helpful and the children really had a good time just being themselves,  without any judgement from others around us. It was great to have a pizza treat”

Glan Llyn - Bala

We are planning an event at the Glan Llyn Outdoor Activity Centre, Bala, in August and also a mid-week camping break in May and would love to hear your thoughts.

Activities at Glan Llyn include canoeing, raft building, paddleboarding, high ropes, climbing walls, archery, orienteering and bushcraft. These events are for the whole family.  Families will be placed in groups to rotate between activities.

Waterproofs, wet suits and hiking boots are provided if required.

Staff members have disability inclusion and Makaton level 1 training.

We are exploring funding to provide subsidised places for those most in need.

Unltd Award Winner

Autistic Haven proudly announces our award from Unltd, the UK’s foundation for social entrepreneurs. The award’s funding and tailored business support will significantly help Autistic Haven to widen positive social impact for the Autistic community. This year, we have used the funding to launch our Parent & Child Art sessions, which will run for six months. In 2024, the award will fund our Post Xmas Pea Fair, summer camp, and other pipeline activities!
